GOVERNMENT GRANTS AND LOANS
Internship Program for Postsecondary Students

    PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
    To aid and promote experiential training activities which foster future employment in the Department of Commerce (DOC) or the Federal Government in general. U.S. citizens enrolled as students in 2-year and 4-year accredited educational institutions and accredited graduate and law schools will participate in on-site work experiences in DOC bureaus and offices in order to integrate academic theory and workplace requirements; gain relevant skills and knowledge, explore Federal career options, develop professional networks, and develop a greater awareness of the role of Federal agencies.

    ELIGIBLE FUNCTIONAL CATEGORIES:
    1. EMPLOYMENT, LABOR, AND TRAINING;
    - Job Training, Employment;
    - Federal Employment;

    WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM:
    - Anyone/general public;

    WHO CAN APPLY:
    - State (includes District of Columbia, public institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Public non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Private non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
