Hispanic-Serving Institutions Assisting Communities

    PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
    To help Hispanic-Serving Institutions of higher education (HSIs) expand their role and effectiveness in addressing community development needs in their localities, including neighborhood revitalization, housing, and economic development consistent with the purposes of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974.

    ELIGIBLE FUNCTIONAL CATEGORIES:
    1. HOUSING;
    - Experimental and Development Projects;
    - Planning;

    WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM:
    - Public nonprofit institution/organization;
    - Specialized group (e.g. health professionals, students, veterans);
    - Private non-profit institution/organization;
    - Spanish Origin;

    WHO CAN APPLY:
    - Public non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Specialized group (e.g. health professionals, students, veterans);
    - Private non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
