Promotion of the Humanities_Extending the Reach Grants to Underserved Areas

    PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
    To provide resources for creative humanities programming, education, and preservation efforts in parts of the country that have not benefited as fully as others from the programs of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

    ELIGIBLE FUNCTIONAL CATEGORIES:
    1. CULTURAL AFFAIRS;
    - Promotion of the Humanities;
    2. EDUCATION;
    - Higher Education - General;

    WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM:
    - State;
    - Local;
    - Sponsored Organization;
    - Public nonprofit institution/organization;
    - Other public institution/organization;
    - Federally Recognized Indian Tribal Governments;
    - U.S. Territories;
    - Minority group;
    - Specialized group (e.g. health professionals, students, veterans);
    - Private non-profit institution/organization;
    - Quasi-public non-profit organization;

    WHO CAN APPLY:
    - Public non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Private non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Quasi-public non-profit institution/organization;
