Women's Business Ownership Assistance

    PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
    To fund private, nonprofit organizations to assist, through training and counseling, small business concerns owned and controlled by women, and to remove, in so far as possible, the discriminatory barriers that are encountered by women in accessing capital and promoting their businesses.

    ELIGIBLE FUNCTIONAL CATEGORIES:
    1. BUSINESS AND COMMERCE;
    - Small Business;

    WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM:
    - Small Business Person;
    - Women;

    WHO CAN APPLY:
    - Public non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Other public institution/organization;
    - Minority Group;
    - Specialized group (e.g. health professionals, students, veterans);
    - Profit organization;
    - Private non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Quasi-public non-profit institution/organization;
    - Other private institutions/organizations;
