PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
To support protection and advocacy services through the systems established to provide protection and advocacy services under the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and bill of Rights Act for the purpose of assisting the acquisition, utilization, or maintenance of assistive technology or assistive technology services for individuals with disabilities.

ELIGIBLE FUNCTIONAL CATEGORIES:
1. EDUCATION;
- Educational Equipment and Resources;
- Resource Development and Support - General and Special Interest Organizations;
- Resource Development and Support - Vocational Education and Handicapped Education;
- Vocational Development;

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM:
- Handicapped;
- Physically Afflicted (e.g. TB, Arthritis, Heart Disease);
- Mentally Disabled;

WHO CAN APPLY:
- State (includes District of Columbia, public institutions of higher education and hospitals);
- Specialized group (e.g. health professionals, students, veterans);
