Occupational Safety and Health Research Grants

    PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
    To develop knowledge that can be used in preventing occupational diseases and injuries. Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) objectives are: to stimulate technological innovation; use small business to meet Federal research and development needs; increase private sector commercialization of innovations derived from Federal research and development; and foster and encourage participation by minority and disadvantaged persons in technological innovation.

    ELIGIBLE FUNCTIONAL CATEGORIES:
    1. HEALTH;
    - Alcoholism, Drug Abuse and Mental Health - Research;
    - Occupational Safety and Health;

    WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM:
    - Public nonprofit institution/organization;
    - Private non-profit institution/organization;
    - Other private institution/organization;
    - Health Professional;
    - Scientist/Researcher;

    WHO CAN APPLY:
    - State (includes District of Columbia, public institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Local (includes State-designated Indian Tribes, excludes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - U.S. Territories and possessions (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Specialized group (e.g. health professionals, students, veterans);
    - Private non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
