PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
To provide high quality research training in the drug abuse field including: (1) Basic and applied studies in all of the life sciences relevant to drug abuse; (2) research on behavioral and societal factors and the epidemiology of drug use and abuse; and (3) special training in experimental design methodology. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) program consists of research training grants to institutions and fellowships to individuals at both the predoctoral and postdoctoral level.
