    PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
    To encourage elementary and secondary schools and community-based agencies to create, develop, and offer service-learning opportunities for school-age youth; educate teachers about service- learning and incorporate service-learning opportunities into classrooms to enhance academic learning; coordinate adult volunteers in schools; and introduce young people to a broad range of careers and encourage them to pursue further education and training.

    - Technical Assistance and Services;

    WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM:
    - Individual/Family;
    - Student/Trainee;
    - American Indian;
    - Child (6-15);
    - Education (0-8);
    - Education (9-12);

    WHO CAN APPLY:
    - State (includes District of Columbia, public institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Local (includes State-designated Indian Tribes, excludes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Public non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - U.S. Territories and possessions (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Private non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals);
    - Native American Organizations (includes Indian groups, cooperatives, corporations, partnerships, associations);
